About

My name is Joseph Davis. By day, lead software architect for a small software company; by night, code enthusiast and avid gamer.

Started software development in the late 90s after I built my first computer from spare parts. After only a few weeks I was able to design basic HTML pages and simple applications, and not too long after found my first paying project building a website for a small company. It didn’t pay much, but for a teenager with a newfound obsession it was enough to spark an interest that would develop into a career.

My career, of course, began in the non-profit sector working for a medium-sized non-profit organization first as a Systems Administrator, then as the I.T. Director, and I have spent much of the rest working in the Finance and Human Resource fields. I have held positions as a Systems Administrator, I.T. Manager, Software Engineer, and Lead Software Architect. I much prefer being involved in the processes up to deployment rather than maintenance of legacy systems, but I’ve done my fair share of both.

I hold numerous certifications. I’ve taught classes on Visual Basic (VB), Visual Studio, Active Server Pages (Classic ASP) Development, and Web Development Fundamentals.
